Located in the centre of Schüttdorf, a small district of Zell am See, the colourful Hotel Latini offers a traditionally Austrian flavour. It is a short walk (5 minutes) to the Areitbahn lift which takes you into the main Zell am See ski area or you can hop on the ski bus which stops within a minute’s walk of the hotel.
Short stays are welcome for much of the winter season making this a great ski weekend option in Zell am See.
Features
The Hotel is traditional in design and offers a lobby reception area, lounge with fireplace, a number of restaurants and bars including the popular UNO bar, terrace, lifts to all floors, kids’ playroom, ski and boot room and free WiFi.
Wellness facilities include the Gold Spa with indoor pool and spa area with sauna and steam room, fitness studio. Guests at the Hotel Latini also enjoy complimentary access to the facilities of the sister Hotel Schutthof next door.
Please note that the local tourist tax of approximately EURO 3 per person (aged over 15) per night is not included in our rates and is payable locally.
Rooms
All rooms are traditionally furnished (expect wood panelling) and are ensuite with free WiFi, flatscreen TV, telephone, safe, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers. Standard rooms are Double / Austrian Twin ‘Alpenrose’ rooms (minimum 20 m²) with balcony.
Larger, superior ‘Enzian’ rooms (25 m2) sleeping 2-3 guests offer a double/Austrian Twin bed plus optional third sofa-bed, balcony.
Junior Suite ‘Edelweiss’ rooms offer 35m2 of space and sleep 2-4 guests with one double/Austrian Twin bed plus a double sofa-bed in the living area. Single rooms are also available.
Meals
Accommodation can be booked on a B&B or half board basis. Breakfast is served from an extensive hot and cold buffet and dinner is four courses with choice of main course and daily salad bar.
For those opting for B&B, the Hotel - and its sister Hotel, the Hotel Schutthof - offer a choice of four a la carte restaurants including the popular Papa Rudolfo’s Pizzeria. For those on a half board basis, après-ski snacks are served from 3-5pm.
Our opinion
The Hotel Latini is a good-value, traditional choice with an Alpine feel for those prioritising good facilities and convenience over location in the centre of Zell am See. It’s a short walk to the AreitXpress gondola and ski bus stop making it a great base for getting onto the mountain quickly.
