The 4* VAYA Resort Kuhtai is a stylish hotel in a contemporary Alpine design typical of the VAYA Family of Hotels. The Hotel is in the resort centre and enjoys a true ski in-ski out location with the ski room spilling out on to the Dreiseen (red) piste.
Features
VAYA Kuhtai sits right on the slopes and offers a wide choice of room types. The Hotel has a reception area, Hotel bar, dining rooms, lifts, heated ski and boot room, gym, garaged car parking (local fee) and free WiFi throughout the Hotel. Lift passes can be purchased from the Hotel reception.
Outside, you’ll find a Panoramic Sun Terrace & Bar – the perfect spot for an apres-ski drink and enjoying the mountain views.
Extensive Wellness and Spa facilities are excellent with a good-sized indoor pool, sauna and textile-free Wellness Area (over 16’s) with relaxation areas, infrared cabins, salt-grotto, selection of saunas and steam room. Massages can be booked locally (fee).
Please note that the local tourist tax of EURO 5 per person (aged over 15) per night is not included in our rates and is payable locally.
Rooms
All rooms are en-suite with TV, safe, hairdryer, free WiFi and Wellness bag with bathrobe and slippers. All but the standard double rooms have a balcony or terrace.
Standard Double rooms are around 23m2 without balcony and similar sized Superior Double rooms (20m2) enjoy a balcony or terrace. Deluxe double rooms are slightly larger (22m2) again with balcony or terrace. Larger Grand Deluxe rooms (25m2) offer a free-standing bathtub in addition to the bathroom and balcony or terrace with mountain views.
Larger rooms sleeping 2-4 guests include the Deluxe II room (28m2, double plus
stowable, separate bunkbed, ideal for a smaller family), Junior Suite (35m2, Double plus optional double sofa-bed) and the Grand Deluxe II rooms (42 m2, Double plus stowable, separate bunkbed, free-standing bath).
One bedroom Spa Suites (50m2) are also available for up to 4 guests (double plus sofa-bed in the living room) and feature a private Sauna.
Meals
Accommodation is on a half board basis including an extensive hot and cold breakfast buffet. Dinner is 4-courses with choice of main or themed buffet evenings. All dietary requirements are catered for – please let us know at the time of booking.
Our opinion
VAYA Hotels across Austria offer a consistently high level of modern, Alpine design and VAYA Kuhtai is no exception. The Adults-only Wellness Area is extensive and the skiing genuinely begins and ends at the front door of the ski room (red run intermediates and above!).
