One of Kirchberg’s oldest Inns dating back to 1563, the family-run Hotel Unterm Rain has been extended and fully renovated in 2020. It is located in the centre of Kirchberg and offers traditional hospitality blended with modern Alpine Lifestyle rooms which have been expertly handcrafted with local wood.
The ski bus stops around 100 metres from the Hotel and the main Fleckalmbahn lift (Ski Depot available) is just a few minutes journey from the centre of Kirchberg.
Features
Retaining its old vaulted ceiling reception area, the hotel offers a welcoming reception with luggage storage, dining room, cosy bar and traditional Tyrolean ‘Stuberl’. A new lift serves all floors and there is a ski and boot room and free parking. Free WiFi throughout.
Please note that the local tourist tax of EURO 2 per person (aged over 16 years) per night is not included in our prices and is payable locally.
Rooms
We offer Double, Triple and Quad rooms ‘Berg Gluck’ which are from 20m2 to 28m2 in size. All 28 ensuite rooms have a comfortable, modern Alpine feel and feature TV, free WiFi, hairdryer, minibar fridge (not stocked), shower/bath, WC.
Meals
Accommodation is on a Bed & Breakfast basis and there is a wide choice of dining options locally in Kirchberg plus many more restaurants in neighbouring Kitzbuhel.
Our opinion
Ideally located in the centre of Kirchberg, this small and friendly traditional Hotel has been fully renovated with bedrooms finished to a high standard in a modern Alpine style. A great value choice for a short ski break or weekend and those looking to explore the local restaurants.
