The 4* Hotel Kohlerhof is located right next to the Spieljoch Gondola in the resort of Fugen at the start of the Ziller Valley. The ski bus – with connections to Hochfuegen and Kaltenbach – stops outside the Hotel and the resort centre is 800 metres from the Hotel. Flexible stays welcome for most of the season.
Features
The hotel is traditionally decorated and features a large reception area, bar and lounge area, dining room, a la carte restaurant, popular ‘Pizz-Pub’ après-ski bar, lifts to all floors, wine cellar, heated ski and boot room, free car parking outside the hotel and free WiFi.
The Hotel consists of two main buildings (Kohlerhof and Wellness Schlossl) connected with an underground passage and has extensive Wellness and leisure facilities which include a large indoor pool with waterfall and massage jets, saunas, steam room and relaxation areas. Massages and Spa treatments are also available (local charge) and there is an adults only Wellness area with textile-free Saunas, quiet zones and an outdoor pool.
Please note that the local tourist tax of EURO 1.50 per person (aged over 15) per night is not included in our rates and is payable locally.
Rooms
All rooms are en-suite with balcony or terrace, radio, telephone, cable TV, free WiFi, hairdryer and safe. Bathrobes and slippers are available from the Hotel Reception.
Standard Comfort (Kohlerhof / Wellnessschlossl, 25 m2 approx) rooms are traditionally decorated 2-3 and 2-4 bedded rooms sleeping 2-4 guests. Panorama rooms and ‘Kuschel’ (Romantic) Suites are available at a supplement.
Meals
Accommodation is on a half board plus basis with an extensive hot and cold breakfast buffet, open kitchen and a late riser’s breakfast until 11AM. An afternoon snack is served from 3-5PM and dinner is either four courses with a choice of main or Gala or themed dinner buffets.
Our opinion
With a short transfer time from Innsbruck and flexible stays welcome for most of the Winter season, the traditional 4* Hotel Kohlerhof is a fantastic choice for a short break in the Ziller Valley. Fugen offers good skiing locally and the ski bus easily connects to Hochfugen (lift connected with Kaltenbach) and Kaltenbach.
