Located in the centre of Zell am See on the edge of the pedestrianized resort centre and just a two minute walk to the City Xpress Gondola, the Hotel Neue Post is a great choice for those looking for a traditionally decorated and furnished Austrian Hotel and boasts an outdoor pool and large Wellness area. The nearest ski bus stop is just 50 metres from the Hotel and has free and regular connections to the glacier at Kaprun and the Schmittenhohe lifts.
Features
Traditionally decorated and featuring ornately carved wooden ceilings, the Hotel Neue Post has a large and welcoming reception and lobby area with house bar, sitting room, ‘Florian’ Stube with open fireplace, dining room, restaurant and terrace. A rear entrance offers secure access to the heated ski and boot room and there is free WiFi throughout the Hotel.
The Spa and Wellness facilities are extensive (700 m2) and include a number of different saunas, relaxation areas and a steam room. Spa treatments are available with a local charge. A heated, covered outdoor pool is accessible from the Wellness area.
Please note that the local tourist tax of approximately EURO 2 per person (aged over 15) per night is not included in our rates and is payable locally.
Rooms
All bedrooms are traditionally decorated and balance modern comforts and facilities with Austrian wooden décor. All offer ensuite facilities, minibar, hairdryer, radio, telephone, Cable-TV and safe. Bathrobes and slippers are available from the reception and there is free WiFi in all bedrooms.
Standard north-facing double rooms are without balcony and larger 2-3 and 2-4 bedded rooms are with balcony and accommodate 2-4 guests. Larger apartments with Kitchenettes are also available. All bedrooms are non-smoking.
Meals
Accommodation is on a half board basis and includes an extensive hot and cold buffet breakfast and four course evening meal with a choice of main course or themed buffet and daily salad bar.
Our opinion
With a reputation for its friendly and professional service, the traditional Hotel Neue Post enjoys a great location in the centre of Zell am See within easy walking distance of the main ski lifts, the resort centre and the lakeside promenade. The Wellness area is extensive and the heated outdoor pool an added bonus especially when it’s snowing!
We are pleased to offer flexible breaks at this Hotel for much of the Winter season.
