With a fantastic location in the pedestrian centre of Saalbach and the nearest lifts just a couple of minutes walk away, the 4* JUFA Alpenhotel offers changeovers on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays for much of the Winter Season – perfect for a short stay in the popular resort of Saalbach.
The nearest ski bus stop is 100 metres from the hotel with the free ski bus servicing the full length of the valley from Viehofen (lift connection to Zell am See) and Hinterglemm.
Features
The hotel offers a lobby reception, a large and welcoming bar area with open fire place, dining room and restaurant, children’s playroom, lifts and ski and boot room. Free WiFi.
The new Wellness facilities are available for guests over 16 years and include a number of different saunas, steam room, heated seating, tea bar and relaxation room.
All major credit cards are accepted. Please note that the local tourist tax of approximately EURO 2 per person (over 15 years) per night is payable locally.
Rooms
The hotel offers 2-4 bedded rooms (22-26 m2) decorated in a traditional or modern style with double/Austrian Twin bed and a further sofa bed. All rooms are ensuite with hairdryer, mini-bar, telephone, cable TV, safe and free WiFi. Most rooms have a balcony and all rooms are non-smoking.
Meals
Accommodation is on a half board basis. There is an extensive hot and cold breakfast buffet to kick off your day and dinner is three courses typically consisting of a choice of soups, salad buffet, choice of main course and selection of desserts. Dinner is usually served buffet style.
Our opinion
Hotels in the centre of the more well-known Austrian Resorts tend to only book up for 7-night stays so it is refreshing to have the flexibility for shorter stays right in the middle of Saalbach. An unbeatable location with a short walk to the lifts and slopes and all of Saalbach’s après-ski and nightlife on the doorstep.
