Features
Owned and run by the Eder family with a history of hospitality spanning several generations, the Hotel brings an all-new design and concept of ‘tradition with a twist’ following the renovation of its Reception, Restaurant and lobby bar areas in 2025.
The Hotel offers a stylish reception, hotel lounge and bar area, restaurant and dining room, ski room, lift, car parking and underground garage. A fitness room, children’s playroom and yoga studio are also on offer. Free WiFi throughout the hotel.
Latschenkiefer SPA – 800 m2 of Wellness
Drawing inspiration from the mountains, meadows and pastures of the Tyrol, the 800 m2 Wellness area is finished in local, rustic pine and includes an outdoor heated rooftop panoramic pool, steam room, mountain pine sauna, experience shower, relaxation room with water beds, vitality bar and family sauna. Opening times as posted locally. Massages are available on request.

Rooms
All bedrooms and suites have been recently renovated in a modern, Alpine style or more contemporary design (Kitz Deluxe and Eder Deluxe rooms) and there are over eight room categories on offer with supplements for superior rooms and suites. All rooms are ensuite with WiFi, telephone, TV, bathrobes and towels for the Spa, safe and most are with balcony except where indicated.
Standard Latschenkiefer rooms (third from bottom image) offer 22 m2 of space and are finished in a modern Alpine style with or without balcony and can be made up as double or twin rooms. Larger, traditional Spielberg rooms are offered with or without balcony (25m2) and Spielberg Deluxe rooms are larger again (30m2) with the option of a double sofa bed to make up triple or quad occupancy.
Double Kitz Deluxe rooms (2nd image from bottom, 28 m2, sleeps 2-4 guests) and the all-new Eder’s Deluxe rooms (bottom image, 28 m2, sleeps 2-3 guests) offer an exclusive top-end, contemporary finish.
Latschenkiefer Suites and Kitz and Eder-styled rooms are also available as Suites for families with two separate bedrooms sleeping 2-5 guests and around 45-55 m2 in total.
Meals
Accommodation is usually provided on a half board basis although a small reduction can be made for bed and breakfast only. The Hotel is a member of KochArt which promotes delicious food from the Kitzbuheler Alps with a focus on regional and sustainable products. Breakfast is from an extensive hot and cold buffet and a 4-course dinner (choice of main, dietary requirements well catered for) is served from 6.30 – 8pm where the chef adds his own twist to traditional Tyrolean and Austrian fare.
Our opinion
A family-run Hotel for many generations, the Hotel Alte Post and the Eder Family have been providing traditional hospitality in Fieberbrunn for over 120 years. Recent renovations to the hotel, the upgrade of its bedrooms and the superb Spa and rooftop pool combined with the great central location make the Alte Post one of Fieberbrunn’s best hotels and certainly the hotel of choice in Fieberbrunn if you are seeking a traditional (with a twist!) Austrian, family-run experience.
