RESORT PROFILE
St Anton is deservedly popular with skiers from around the world and with 260 kilometres of piste including Lech, Zürs, Stuben and St Christoph and huge off-piste possibilities, it is easy to see why some rate this as one of the world's premier resorts.
Add to this some of the best après ski in Europe, a great snow record and a village which still boasts traditional Austrian charm and you have a truly world-class ski and snowboard destination.
If you’re looking for a ski weekend in St Anton, we are sorry to disappoint you - most hotels only accept bookings on a Saturday to Saturday basis. Please check out our ski weekends page for our Austrian ski weekend resorts.
LIFTS AND SLOPES
St Anton offers top quality skiing and boarding at high altitude with some of the best off-piste runs in Austria that are best tackled with a local guide. Steep and deep or mogulled runs off the top of the resort are what attracts the St Anton enthusiasts.
An award-winning new high speed lift recently replaced the Galzig Cable Car from the resort centre making access into the main area much quicker and easier.

SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING
Whilst there are some beginner slopes directly above the resort, the area is best suited to strong intermediates and experts who will relish the challenge of St Anton’s steeper slopes whether covered in powder or bumps. With the resorts of Lech, Zürs, Stuben and St Christoph all covered on the Ski Arlberg lift pass, there is no shortage of challenging skiing and snowboarding in this vast area.
Snowboarders will also love the terrain as well as the half-pipe and freestyle park.
OFF THE SLOPES
As if there wasn’t enough excitement on the slopes, by mid-afternoon St Anton’s slope-side bars begin to fill up with the bulk of the party crowds heading for the Krazy Kangaruh or Mooserwirt just one final short ride away from the village. By night, St Anton bursts into life partying into the small hours.
For such a well-known ski resort, the village itself is surprisingly small and compact. Its pedestrianised main street offers a wide choice of cafés, bars and good quality traditional and international restaurants as well as sports and fashion shops.
The resort also has its own stylish wellness centre (Well.com) with indoor and outdoor pools, a gym and treatment rooms and tennis, ice skating and sleigh rides are also available locally.
Please note the resort of St Anton is not staffed.
