RESORT PROFILE
Once described by one of our guests as 'how a ski resort was meant to be', Fieberbrunn is everything the big, mega-resorts are not : A traditional family–friendly village atmosphere, low on commercialism, informal après ski and genuinely friendly locals. If you are looking for a true taste of Austria then look no further than Fieberbrunn, Tirol’s best kept secret.
The resort’s ski area is located on the mountain range between Kitzbühel and Saalbach and, thanks to its own micro-climate, boasts the best snow record in the Kitzbüheler Alps region with consistently good conditions and top to bottom skiing through into April.
It has been our base and principal resort since we started and has shown a huge growth in popularity over the years. Enjoy it now before the secret gets out!
LIFTS AND SLOPES
Fieberbrunn is part of the Schneewinkel (Snow corner) Area which offers 170 kilometres of piste. The Schneewinkel area is made up of a number of villages, the main ones being Fieberbrunn, St Johann in Tirol and Waidring. An efficient and free resort bus network connects the entire area allowing you to easily day trip to the other resorts.
Fieberbrunn has invested heavily in its lifts over recent years, the most recent addition being a gondola at the top of the resort which has extended the number of pistes and opened up extensive off-piste possibilities. There is now snow-making on all of its pistes and some truly atmospheric mountain huts add to the appeal and charm of the area.

SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING
On piste, the area is best suited to beginner and intermediate skiers whilst off-piste, Fieberbrunn is earning a reputation as a freeride destination with excellent lift accessible terrain. The annual ‘Snow Fever’ Big Mountain competition takes place in March featuring many top riders.
For beginners, you could not ask for more than the wide and gentle slopes at the middle Gondola station (1210 metres) ensuring good snow conditions and views of more than just the car park typical of so many resorts.
Intermediates will find some great, sweeping and varied runs around the resort and the Schneewinkel area offers plenty of piste mileage.
Whilst advanced and expert skiers will easily cover all of the runs in one day, it is the local snow record, lack of crowds and superb lift accessible off-piste that is attracting the better skiers and snowboarders to Fieberbrunn.
Fieberbrunn is deservedly popular with snowboarders not only for its modern lift system and freeriding terrain but also for the fun park at the middle station.
OFF THE SLOPES
Après-ski is informal with several bars at the bottom of the slopes offering traditional live music or the latest hits. Other activities available include the resort swimming and sauna complex, a floodlit toboggan run, snow-biking, ice climbing, ski show, snow-rafting, ski school cabaret, snowshoe walking, day trips to Salzburg, Innsbruck and Kitzbühel and sleigh rides.
Eating out is excellent value with a wide choice of traditional and international restaurants and the resort centre also offers plenty of bars, ‘Stuberls’, cafés and a nightclub.
