Ski weekends and short breaks in Austria

Arriving any day for any duration, we offer a flexible service to maximise your time on the slopes (often skiing on arrival and departure day) with minimum hassle.

All of our ski weekends are tailor-made to your requirements and there are a few things worth bearing in mind to help you make the most out of your short break.

The best ski resorts for weekends are not necessarily the biggest and well-known - the main reason: Availability! Whilst we would all love a cheap weekend break to a hotel in the middle of St Anton, Austrian Hoteliers quite simply have other ideas. Taking a 3 night weekend booking means effectively blocking off 14 nights of potential business and hotels in the bigger resorts know only too well that they will be full Saturday to Saturday for most of the season.

So.... some compromise is required. After all, for a few days skiing, do you really need 250 kilometres of piste? The main ingredients for a successful weekend are short airport transfers (minibus taxi), in-resort representation, lift passes and hire booked in advance.

The cheap ski weekend – great value at the Pension Sonne, Fieberbrunn
Ensuite bed and breakfast accommodation close to the resort centre, Salzburg 45 miles / 1 hour transfer. A resort with an excellent snow record and off-piste as well as connections to St Johann in Tirol. Prices from £179 per person for 3 nights including airport transfers (min 4 share).

The Castle Ski Weekend – 4* Hotel Rosenegg, Fieberbrunn
Follow in the footsteps of Napoleon and stay in one of Fieberbrunn’s oldest hotels. Enjoy a medieval atmosphere in a hotel with modern facilities.

The Luxury Ski Weekend - 5* Hotel Lebenberg, Kitzbuhel
The Hotel Lebenberg is one of Kitzbuhel's top hotels with fantastic views over the medieval resort centre. The hotel Lebenberg boasts a roof-top spa and pool and a complementary minibus shuttle to and from the lifts. Ski Weekends are possible throughout the winter.

Heart of the Tirol – St Johann in Tirol
St Johann offers skiing locally and is also an excellent base for exploring a number of other ski areas, all of which are within easy reach. Kitzbuhel and Ellmau for example are just over 10 minutes in a taxi.

Kitzbuhel / Kirchberg weekends
Kitzbuhel weekends are at the higher end of the price scale and high season weeks are difficult for ski weekends. However, there are a few hotels we work with that are offering more and more flexibility, most notably the 4* Superior Schwarzer Adler. It is also worth considering nearby Kirchberg which offers skiing on the same area without the Kitzbuhel price tag.
