The Sport Hotel Fontana Fieberbrunn is located at the bottom of the main Streuboeden gondola and offers doorstep skiing and excellent value. There are a number of bars – Biwak, S4-Alm, Enzianhutte and the Hotel’s own après-ski bar, the Fontana-Stadl – at the foot of the slopes and the local ski schools and ski hire shops are all within 100 metres of the Hotel.
The resort centre is approximately 10-15 minutes walk or 3 minutes by free ski bus or taxi.

Features
The hotel features a large lobby reception area with conservatory bar and lounge area, large dining room and its own rustic après-ski bar, the Fontana Stadl. Leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, wellness area with sauna and steam room, fitness suite, massage centre and solarium (payable locally). There is free WiFi in the lobby area, ski and heated boot rooms with direct access to and from the slopes, lifts, car parking and an underground garage.
Please note that the local tourist tax of EURO 2.80 per person (aged over 15) per night is not included in our rates and is payable locally.
Rooms
Two, three and four-bedded ‘Classic’ rooms offer ensuite facilities (shower/bath, WC), balcony or terrace, telephone, TV, safe and mini-bar. Reductions apply for the 3rd/4th person sharing. Single rooms are available at a supplement.
Meals
Accommodation is on a half board basis with meals served buffet style. Breakfast is extensive and includes a selection of hot and cold dishes and dinner is four courses which typically includes a salad buffet, soup or starter, choice of main course from the buffet and dessert. Separate children’s buffet dinner service. Christmas and New Year’s Eve Gala Dinners included.
Our opinion
Enjoying an unbeatable, ski in–ski out location at the foot of Fieberbrunn’s slopes and with 270+ kilometres of piste on the doorstep, the Sport Hotel Fontana offers excellent facilities including a pool and wellness area and is a great choice for families, groups and ski weekends seeking excellent value.
The Hotel is not officially categorised (Officially 4* - Winter 2016-17): We rate this Hotel as 3*+ for its facilities with the location, service and friendliness of the staff, 4*+. The switch from dinner table-service to buffet service 3 years ago has been well received.
If you are looking at the 4* TUI Blue for comparison, we rate the TUI Blue as a good half to full star notch up from the Sport Hotel Fontana in terms of quality and this is reflected in the price. Book the Fontana for its location, service and great value.
